About

Stephens Pneumatics was started in 1994 by Jerry Stephens, who owned two separate fabrication companies, Tankheads Inc. and Ejecto, Inc.  In 1999, Ejecto was folded into Stephens Pneumatics, but Tankheads Inc. is still in operation as a separate entity.  Both companies are family owned and provide customer service and quality fabricated products.

Randy Williams started with Stephens as the chief engineer and continues this role today.  Mike Tandy (850-890-1470), Mike Ford (817-636-9004 or 817-888-0206) and Jim Biggers (817-578-7632) represent sales contacts for the company.  James McDonald, plant manager, Jerry Fonville, quality control manager, and Mike Comeau, purchasing manager, all oversee the production of manufactured products

Stephens manufactures pneumatic dry bulk semi-tank trailers for hauling cement, sand, flour, lime, fertilizer, and plastics.  A few other items hauled in dry bulk trailers include  peanut hulls, tooth paste grit, plastics and powdered lead.

Stephens also manufactures DOT 406 trailers for the gas retail business. DOT 407 semi-tank trailers and tank trucks are manufactured for the transportation of crude oil.  Also, the company manufactures aluminum water transporters, vacuum trailers, and portable explosive storage magazines for the oil and gas industry. Ejecto beds are fabricated for state and municipalities to patch asphalt or repair pot-holes on streets.  All semi-tank trailers are manufactured from aluminum.  Stephens prides itself on customizing a trailer to meet the specific needs of individual customers.

During the past several years, when the trailer industry enjoyed significant growth, Stephens entered new markets with different types of trailers. For example, new equipment for the Canadian and Michigan markets was fabricated by Stephens.   These trailers include A-trains, B-trains and trailers designed to haul heavier loads than are typically seen in a majority of the United States.

The size of the company enables the control of overhead and allows Stephens to offer a fair price on a quality trailer. Stephens also repairs pneumatic and liquid aluminum trailers.  Parts for trailers are available by contacting Mike Comeau.
